Chris Kelley is an Ordained Pastor with the North America Baptist Conference and serves as the pastor of Canal Town Community Church in Palmyra, NY. In the past Chris has supported pulpits at a number of churches in Upstate New York and the surrounding region. Chris has taught specific Bible subjects at various churches beyond the Sunday pulpit and has been a guest speaker for Christian organizations. A National Instructor with Walk Thru the Bible, Chris teaches the Old and New Testament Live Events originally developed by Bruce Wilkinson.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Organization Management (Roberts Wesleyan College) and a Masters of Divinity from Northeastern Seminary and has studied at Jerusalem University College in Israel. Chris spent 5 weeks in Israel studying the “Historical and Geographical Settings of the Bible.”
In 2004 Chris taught a three day retreat and served some churches in Africa (The Gambia) and organized medical and work missions there in 2006 and 2008. Since then Chris has traveled to over sixty five countries in Europe, South America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia and did ministry in Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya, and Brazil.
Personal Testimony
Chris came to faith in Christ as his Savior in May of 1980 while serving in the United States Air Force. It was at that time that Chris recognized his own inability to attain holiness apart from God’s grace. In a strained relationship with his wife at the time, God so changed Chris’ life that his wife saw the difference and followed in committing her life to Christ. They were baptized together and have been happily married for 39 years.
Family
Chris has four adult children and ten grandchildren. His first born were boy and girl twins. Chris’ wife Sue teaches preschool and has been teaching children’s Sunday school for many years. Chris loves being a husband, a father and a grandfather (pop-pop) and truly enjoys sharing about God’s grace and HIS Word.
